“I smell a whiff, a ticklish sniff!

I’ll squeeze the sneeze inside …”

A new flower has appeared in Willowomp Wood – an enticing bloom from the Tootletuff fig. First Buzzy McBee decides to check it out … but it makes her sneeze! The force of the sneeze shoots her into the arms of Monkey Minx, who tries to help but also succombs to the sneezes … and then they both find themselves bumped into Barefoot Bear. But what does crafty Crocodile have in mind?

  • Illustrated by Katz Cowley of The Wonky Donkey fame,

this is a new companion title to The Fidgety Itch

  • Lucy Davey delights in the sounds of language, and produces rhyming text that children love
  • Like The Fidgety Itch, this is a cumulative, cyclical story

Praise for The Fidgety Itch

“Fidgety Itch is a variation of many similar circular stories written in Lucy Davey’s trademark rhyme, with repetition and alliteration used to effect. It is fun to read aloud and younger audience members will enjoy pointing out the menacing mosquito that appears on most pages. Katz Cowley’s illustrations provide the perfect match to the text, the over-large, expressive eyes of each character adding to the sense of discomfort felt by each.” — Magpies

“Illustrator Katz Cowley brings to life a tale kicked off by a pesky mosquito that causes discomfort among a group of woodland animals as it bites one after the other. (…) Davey’s rhymes make this an entertaining romp with a message about co-operation and helping each other out. ” — NZ Herald Canvas
